Texas A&M Health Science Center
The Texas A&M Health Science
Center Foundation is instrumental in private gift fund raising.
It was established as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in
1999 to help the Health Science Center raise money above
what is available from state funding and to separate private
gifts from public funds. As an independent organization,
the Health Science Center Foundation is more flexible and
can act more expeditiously in accordance with donors' wishes.
The President's Council is the primary development arm for the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Its chair and co-chair are President George Bush, 41st president of the United States, and First Lady Barbara Bush. It reaches across the nation on behalf of the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Membership in The President's Council is reserved to donors who make significant contributions to the Health Science Center.

The Health Science Center Foundation is led by an experienced and dedicated board of directors who manage and invest private funds earmarked for the Health Science Center.
